Contemporary Photojournalism
As a wedding photographer my philosophy is to unobtrusively make photographs with realism. My work involves pure photographic seeing, awaiting the decisive moment to make a photograph encapsulating the experience taking place. The images have beautiful composition, innovativeness and impart emotion.
A wedding day is the most momentous occasion in the lifetime of a couple. The enjoyment of the day is paramount, the couple celebrating the beginning of their married life together with friends and family. It is therefore important that collectively the wedding images form a complete narrative of the whole day recording what is really happening.
Through the camera, I observe the spontaneity about the people and the joy of the occasion. The subjects are unaware of the photographer's presence.
The photographs evoke timeless memories of a wonderful day.
Biography
My self, Donia and our two sons live in Toft, Knutsford in Cheshire. I am a qualified wedding photographer with the British Institute of Professional Photography, an experienced, full time professional, specialising in wedding photography. My photography has received awards in both wedding album and individual wedding print categories of the British Institute of Professional Photography competitions.
All wedding photographs are captured exclusively by me, the sole photographer.
My experience in photographing wedding days enables each couple to completely relax, trusting me to create a collection of photographs capturing the emotion of the day.
Hasselblad Camera Equipment
I use Hasselblad, the most advanced camera system. Hasselblad is famous for superior craftsmanship and quality, delivering ultimate image quality: resolution, natural colour, optical purity, clarity and detail. Hasselblad is used by discerning photographers around the world who demand creative flexibility and ultimate quality of the final image.
Medium Format Film Photography
I continue to photograph weddings with medium format film to produce true black and white photographs and vivid colour photographs. Medium format film produces photographs of unsurpassed, ultimate quality in the various photographic conditions presented throughout a wedding day.
Photographing with medium format film suits my natural style of photography. Making the images is more considered and the images are pure and unaltered, having an aesthetic quality.
Photographic negatives may also be scanned for versatility.
